Old City from Mount of Olives

Dome of the Rock

According to tradition, inside the big, domed building lies the rock
where Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac. Somewhere in the immediate
vicinity is the site of Solomon's Temple.

Lions Everywhere

frequently, even on trash cans.

The Chef Speaks

On the inside the dorms are clean, modern, and utilitarian.

Rocks for Flowers

Israelis put rocks on gravestones instead of flowers. Rocks are

Home Sweet Home

I'm staying in the dorms at Hebrew University with my friend Alan who

Israeli Flag

Flags are flying everywhere in commemoration of the recent 60th

the pile. Whatever doesn't fit in the backpack isn't coming.
